Developing Mind, Heart & Future

Developing Mind, Heart & Future

Developing Mind, Heart & Future

With over 13 years in education and a strong foundation in community leadership, I believe our top priority must be educating the whole child—not just academically, but emotionally and socially.

Our schools have made great progress by implementing Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), and I believe we can go even further. We must expand our focus to include essential life skills, especially at the high school level—like personal finance, time management, studying, and job readiness—to prepare students for success beyond graduation.

While I proudly live in and represent Ward 4, my commitment is to every child in our parish. No matter their background or zip code, every student deserves support, opportunity, and advocacy—because when all children thrive, so does our entire community.

Real Growth, Real Results

Developing Mind, Heart & Future

Developing Mind, Heart & Future

If we want real progress in our schools, we must be willing to measure it.
What we don’t track, we can’t improve. When new policies, programs, or procedures are introduced, our community deserves transparency—through regular updates and honest assessments of what’s working and what’s not.

Plans without follow-through or feedback do little to move us forward. As someone still in the classroom every day, I see firsthand what’s effective—and what needs to change.

I’ve taken on leadership roles at my school, including leading professional development and team meetings. I also prioritize my own growth by attending educational conferences and staying current on best practices in hybrid learning, student engagement, and academic progress tracking.

True growth takes reflection, accountability, and the courage to adapt—and that’s exactly how I plan to lead.

Uplifting Every Role

With over 13 years in education and community leadership, I know that great schools are built by more than just strong academics—they’re built by the people who show up every day. From teachers and principals to paraprofessionals, cafeteria teams, maintenance crews, substitutes, and coaches—every role matters.

To create thriving schools, we must ensure every staff member feels valued, supported, and united in a shared mission. That sense of purpose should be reinforced not just within school walls, but by central office leaders, board members, and the broader community.

Today, it’s harder than ever to recruit and retain passionate educators. If we’re serious about excellence, we need to take a hard look at what’s working—and what’s not. That includes rethinking salary structures, professional support, and day-to-day operations.

When we invest in our people, we build schools where everyone is proud to serve—and where students thrive as a result.

Present, Engaged, and Serving Ward 4

To truly represent the students, educators, and staff in our school system, school board members must stay connected to what matters most: the people inside our schools.

As a parent already active in my children’s education, I’ve seen the power of showing up—of being present, engaged, and supportive. I want to carry that same commitment into my role as a representative for Ward 4, and expand it.

I pledge to lead with action, not just words.
Through open, honest, and consistent communication, we can build trust, strengthen relationships, and respond to challenges with clarity and compassion.

I will make regular visits to Ward 4 schools, engage in meaningful conversations, and participate in community events that reflect the real needs of our students and staff. Staying involved on the ground ensures my decisions are informed, intentional, and people-centered.

This isn’t just a campaign promise — it’s a continuation of the work I’ve already started, and a deeper commitment to serve Ward 4 with purpose and presence.
