Grounded in Experience. Growing for the Future
Chelsie isn’t new to the work — she’s been doing it for years.
From volunteering in classrooms and attending school meetings to advocating for students and supporting teachers, she’s been a consistent presence where it matters most.
Chelsie Rodrigue, M.Ed
Hi, I’m Chelsie Rodrigue — wife to Mark Rodrigue and proud mom of three amazing boys: Mark Jr., Thomas, and Patrick.
Ward 4 isn’t just where I live — it’s where I was raised, where I’ve built my life, and where I continue to pour my heart into every day.
I’m a lifelong resident of the Ward 4 area and a proud product of our local schools. I attended Labadieville Primary, Labadieville Middle, and graduated from Assumption High School in 2007. I went on to earn my Bachelor of Science from Nicholls State University, with certifications in Math and Social Studies, followed by a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and a leadership certification.
With over 13 years of teaching experience — including four years as a virtual educator — I’ve worn many hats:
Coach, Mentor, Content Leader, Team Leader, Club Sponsor
Each role has deepened my love for education and strengthened my commitment to supporting students, teachers, and school communities alike.
Outside of the classroom, I’m also a small business owner. My family and I run Cookie's Thrift Store, which began after helping a former student and their family recover from a house fire. That moment sparked something greater — and over the past five years, our store has become a place of connection, support, and care for our community and beyond.
I’m also deeply involved in community development.
Everything I do is rooted in service.
I believe in giving back, showing up, and helping others rise. I want to help tie our community together as one strong, united force — a place where:
✅ Every child is valued
✅ Every family is supported
✅ Every voice is heard
