💛 Chelsie’s Platform:

Grounded in Experience. Growing for the Future

Chelsie isn’t new to the work — she’s been doing it for years.
From volunteering in classrooms and attending school meetings to advocating for students and supporting teachers, she’s been a consistent presence where it matters most.

Learn More About Chelsie's Mission

Effective school board leadership starts with staying connected to the people we serve—students, educators, staff, and families. As a parent already engaged in my children’s schools, I’ve seen the power of being present. I plan to continue—and expand—that commitment as your Ward 4 representative.

About Chelsie

Hi, I’m Chelsie Rodrigue — wife to Mark Rodrigue and proud mom of three amazing boys: Mark Jr., Thomas, and Patrick.

Ward 4 isn’t just where I live — it’s where I was raised, where I’ve built my life, and where I continue to pour my heart into every day.

Lifelong Educator & Local Graduate

I’m a lifelong resident of the Ward 4 area and a proud product of our local schools. I attended Labadieville Primary, Labadieville Middle, and graduated from Assumption High School in 2007. I went on to earn my Bachelor of Science from Nicholls State University, with certifications in Math and Social Studies, followed by a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and a leadership certification.

With over 13 years of teaching experience — including four years as a virtual educator — I’ve worn many hats:

Coach, Mentor, Content Leader, Team Leader, Club Sponsor

Each role has deepened my love for education and strengthened my commitment to supporting students, teachers, and school communities alike.

Small Business Owner & Community Advocate

Outside of the classroom, I’m also a small business owner. My family and I run Cookie's Thrift Store, which began after helping a former student and their family recover from a house fire. That moment sparked something greater — and over the past five years, our store has become a place of connection, support, and care for our community and beyond.

I’m also deeply involved in community development.

  • I helped support the building of a new park in the Belle Rose area
  • I’m actively working to establish a recreational district
  • I advocate for new equipment and resources for Ward 4 families

Rooted in Service

Everything I do is rooted in service.
I believe in giving back, showing up, and helping others rise. I want to help tie our community together as one strong, united force — a place where:

✅ Every child is valued
✅ Every family is supported
✅ Every voice is heard
